Libreria Chunches de Monteverde

Libreria Chunches de Monteverde is a bookstore / coffee shop in Monteverde Costa Rica with a fine selection of books(many in English including travel and natural history guides, magazines, book exchange, and some u.s. newspapers). They provide public fax service (sending and receiving), laundry service (u.s $5 to wash and dry a load), are a useful meeting place and a source of information. They are open from 8am.to 6pm. Monday to Saturday. "Chunches is the best rural bookstore in Costa Rica". As quoted in "The New Key to Costa Rica". Located in Santa Elena de Monteverde, Chunches is 20 meters south (down hill), from the Banco National (only bank in the area) & in front of the Pension Santa Elena.
