Rancho Makena
Rancho Makena is located in the Monteverde area just 5km from the Santa Elena Cloud forest reserve. Rancho Makena is a comfortable family run establishment and with its moderate price it is one of the best options in the area.
Rancho Makena is operated by its owners and is s a perfect location to interact with friendly Costa Ricans amidst the misty cloud forest of Monteverde. Rancho Makena has been a work in progress over the last year and is finally completed with 6 brand new rooms and a restaurant.
The rooms are simple but are clean, comfortable, and all have views of forest and the valley below. Included in your room rate is a free breakfast in the morning. If you would like a freshly prepared lunch or dinner you must inform the reception in advance.
Rancho Makena also offers full equiped Cabin and a Chalet rental for weeks.
Cabin: $50 USD + tax per night up to 15 days and $40 USD + tax per night for more than 15 days.
Chalet: $120 USD + tax per night up to 15 days and $100 USD + tax per night for more than 15 days.
These rooms require a minimum stay of 3 nights and don't include breakfast.
