Standard rooms offers Air conditioning, hot shower, satellite TV, telephone, safety box, small fridge, veranda with table, chairs and view to the Arenal Volcano. Rooms with a double bed, or a double and a single bed, or with 2 double beds.
Premium rooms are 30% bigger, offers a bathtub, a private parking, plus all amenities of the Standard. With direct view to the Volcano & 2 double beds.
The Cabins offers 2 rooms, one with double bed, the other with 2 singles, a complete kitchen, plus all amenities of the Standard, but without view to the Volcano Arenal from the cabin itself. You can see the volcano from the porch.

It's not possible to do a round trip in one day to Monteverde. La Fortuna is at 300 meters above sea level, the Cloud Forest is at 1,500 meters (4,500 feet), straddling the Continental Divide. That's why the views are so spectacular going to Monteverde. One way it's 8 hours by bus, 5 hours with a normal car (maybe not passable in rainy season, write for updates), 4 hours with a 4x4, 5 hours by horseback, and 3 hours by a combination of 4x4, and boat. There is a lot to do in Monteverde! We suggest to plan half a day to reach the forest, at least a day to visit, then half a day to go to your next destination. Click below for details. |
