El Viandante
El Viandante is located in the quaint mountain town of Monteverde in the northern province of Puntarenas. High in the Tilaran Mountain Range you will come upon the quaint villages of Monteverde and Santa Elena which offers a town center.
This international ecotourist destination is renowned for its majestic Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, canopy walks, guided day and night walks in the rainforest. Equally renowned are the Quaker inhabitants that migrated in the 1950’s form North America introducing dairy farming and cheese production. Adjoining Monteverde is the town of Santa Elena providing restaurants, shops, a bank, tour offices, police station, etc.
In hopes of sharing the natural beauty and excitement of Monteverde with others, the owners, Renzo and Grace, created this labor of love called - El Viandante hotel. There are twenty cozy rooms with private bath, hot water, and special single and double orthopedic sized mattresses.
A simple breakfast is served each morning along with amazing Costa Rican coffee and a kitchen for your own cooking pleasure. Cable t.v. can be found in the common room as well as a small library for those that wish to read. Mountain Bike rentals and luggage storage are available to our guests.
