Road notes
This is one of the longer routes on our network, dropping from the cloud forest to the coast and then following the coastal highway south. We advise against driving after dark, and June–November rain can bring potholes and slower going on the mountain stretch out of Monteverde.
Vehicles
A sedan or SUV covers 1 to 4 travelers with standard luggage; a premium van fits 5 to 8; a Sprinter is available for larger groups or extra bags. Child seats are available on request.
Reviews for our drivers
"Justin was amazing, a lovely young man who was very friendly and knowledgeable about his country. He stopped off at Caldera... and at the crocodile bridge. We really enjoyed this transfer."
Tracey P., Monteverde → Uvita
"We especially loved our driver Minor who took us from Monteverde to MA. It was a long trek and he was great in explaining interesting things we saw from the road, stopping to let us take pictures when we wanted... he insisted in helping us carry all our bags down many flights of steps to our villa."
